Late March 2008:

We (Jack Lin and I) started at Fontana's. I opened a couple of sets with situational openers and of course they hook because we were at a Meetup event. I #close UGRaven but I messed up the "Yes" ladder in the process. Then we ate a Vietnamese restaurant. $7 for dinner. Then we took the train to West 4th street and met up with Brendan and two other guys. I open an Asian girl but couldn't get her past A2. Then Sean shows up and I introduce him to her and eject. Brendan calls me over and lectures me about wingman rules. He basically thought that Sean stole my target, but I said I ejected because I felt there wasn't any attraction.

Jack, Lin and I head to another bar. We go to Wicked Willies and I open HBMarleen with "would you read your boyfriend's email?" she says "yes... if I had one." Then I knew it was on. Her friend even came and interrupted her, and she basically told her to go away. LOL That helped my confidence a lot. It felt good. I got past A3 with her in a matter of 2 minutes. I made her qualify to me 3x before #closing. I asked if she could sing, if she was Egyptian and if she smoked hookah. She tells me she can't sing, that she is half black/half puerto rican, and she tells me her favorite hookah flavor. I make fun of her annoying voice but told her that she was cute. She loved it. She mentions a hookah party she's planning to go to. I ask what day. She tells me on Saturday. I tell her I might be able to go. How can I contact you? She gives me her phone to punch my number in but I make her type it in for me instead (to make it look like she's picking me up haha) I talk to her some more but I said i gotta go look for my friends but that I might be back and that maybe we'll have a drink and ejected.

I tried opening sets on the street to no avail as we were walking to the subway. Moving sets are hard and not a place to run solid game anyways.
